The Redmi K40 Gaming will be powered by the Dimensity 1200 when it launches next week. While part of an already established line of products, it will essentially be a new handset with new cameras, new design, and other hardware features.
One of them are shoulder buttons for games that pop out from the side as soon as a slider is pulled. Here’s a nice video from Redmi explaining how this works.
The brand says the buttons are so good for clicking that they can even be used as a fidget toy when the user is not playing. They deliver a crisp sound with each press and close with a magnet. This provides much better feedback than existing solutions.

According to the post on Weibo, the shoulders are extremely durable and have been clicked 1.5 million times without errors. Thanks to the close-ups in the video, we can also see that the frame is made of metal, as are the actual shoulders, while the back appears to be glass, which would allow for fast wireless charging.
