US Attorney General William Barr resigns

WASHINGTON: US Attorney General William Barrthat had publicly differed lately President Donald Trump on allegations of Election fraud in the presidential election on November 3 has resigned.
Trump has appointed his deputy Jeff Rosen as acting attorney general.
“I just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship was very good, he did an excellent job! According to the letter, Bill will leave shortly before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family … ”announced Trump on Monday evening on Twitter.

“A distinguished person, Assistant Attorney General Jeff Rosen becomes Acting Attorney General. The well-respected Richard Donoghue will serve as Assistant Attorney General. Thanks everyone! ”Trump said as he tweeted Barr’s two-page resignation letter.

Barr said in his letter, “As mentioned, I will spend the next week doing a few remaining administrative matters and leaving on December 23rd.”
“I am honored that you have asked me to serve as Attorney General again for your government and the American people. I am proud to have played a role in the many achievements and unprecedented achievements that you have made for the American people. Your record is all the more historic as you achieved it in the face of relentless relentless resistance, ”he added.
Democratic Congressman David Cicilline claimed Barr supported and facilitated Trump’s attacks on the US election.
“He has done incalculable damage to our democracy. He won’t be missed, ”Cicilline tweeted.

Congressman Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, claimed Barr lied to cover Trump.
“Political investigation initiated. Undermine justice and the rule of law. And cracked down on demonstrators. Such a good release. Work must now begin to restore a credible and independent judicial system. ”
