The Shadow of the Colossus-inspired indie game Praey for the Gods, which was originally funded through Kickstarter in 2016 and released on Steam Early Access in early 2019, is close to full release.
Praey for the Gods will debut for PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 sometime in the first quarter of 2021, and a new Boss Battle gameplay video based on the PS5 version was shared by IGN a few hours ago. You can see it below.
The three developers from No Matter Studios recently talked about the PS5 version of Praey for the Gods, which, unlike the PS4 version, runs at 60 frames per second and, in addition to a reduced load, also offers maximum graphics settings, full shadows, high-resolution textures times. But it looks like the star feature will be the DualSense controller again.
Our next thought was of course DualSense. We had played a couple of demos from Sony that showed how impressive it can be.
DualSense is such a big deal. The feeling of your arch pulling back and the resistance matching the adaptive triggers on the controller is so visceral. Feel your feet crunch through deep snow, how your canvas opens when you jump in the air, or how the wind blows – all of these bumps can be felt in your hands when you control your character. It’s so satisfying and incredibly haunting. For a game like Praey for the Gods, it brings so many details of our world to life and makes interactions all the more compelling. We’re still looking at the DualSense controller and will keep tweaking it as we improve the game for our launch.
There will also be a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5. Of course, you can also choose to get Praey for the Gods now for PC via Steam Early Access. As part of the winter sales, you will receive a 35% discount, which will reduce the price to € 16.24 by January 5, 2021.
