Maharashtra Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has sent 85 gadgets of Bollywood stars in Gujarat’s Directorate of Forensic Sciences Gandhinagar. The data of 30 mobile phones in the gadgets sent in the last 45 days have been returned to NCB after extraction. The NCB is investigating the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. On this basis, raids and arrests are being done in Mumbai.
The extracted data also contains deleted voice clips, video clips and chat messages and mobile numbers. The NCB is also sending samples of drugs being seized from Mumbai to the forensic lab for examination. Samples of these drugs are being investigated and reports are made so that the suppliers and buyers connected to the drugs network can be reached. So far 25 drug samples have been sent to the Ferencink Lab.
Mobile phones of these celebs seized
Most of the gadgets sent for forensic investigation are of mobile celebrities, their acquaintances and accused drug peddlers. Apart from this, there are two laptops, tablets and pen drives. According to sources, the mobile phones that have been sent to the forensic lab are Riya Chakraborty, her brother Shouvik, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and those associated with them.
A tool from Israel to extract data
The NCB has asked the Gandhinagar lab to also establish a link between the messages sent to each other and the calls made so that the chain of drug users can be traced. It is being said that the data that has been deleted was too much security, so the lab is using special equipment demanded from Israel so that the data can be extracted.
