Sourav Ganguly smash fifty during President XI vs Secretary xi Match before BCCI AGM

A 12–12 over match was played between Sourav Ganguly captained President XI and Jai Shah led Secretary XI at Motera Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium. Batting first in this match, Secretary XI, captained by Jai Shah, scored 128 runs losing 3 wickets in the prescribed 12 overs, with Jaydev Shah scoring 38 and former Indian team captain Mohammad Ahjaruddin scoring 37 runs.

In response to 129 runs, Sourav Ganguly’s team could score 100 runs after losing 4 wickets in the prescribed 12 overs. In this way, Jai Shah-led Secretary XI defeated Sourav Ganguly’s President XI by 28 runs. However, 48-year-old Sourav Ganguly played a stormy innings of 53 not out in just 32 balls. During this innings, Sourav Ganguly hit 6 fours and a six. Jai Shah took 2 wickets from Secretary XI.

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly also tried his hand at bowling. He bowled 3 overs and took one wicket for 26 runs.
