Reliance Jio blamed Airtel and Vodafone idea for spreading rumors during Farmer Protest to port jio sim

Reliance Jio, the country’s largest telecom company, has alleged that Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) are instigating its customers under the guise of farmer agitation. According to Jio, both these companies are claiming that porting Jio’s mobile number on their (Airtel or Voda’s) network will support the farmer movement.

Ports having large number of customers
According to Jio, ‘a large number of port requests are being received, in which customers are leaving Jio without any complaint related to Jio service.’ Reliance Jio has written a letter to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) seeking strict action against these two companies. Jio said that this attitude of the opposing companies may affect the safety of Jio employees.

Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have dismissed Jio’s allegations as ‘baseless’. Reliance Jio said that it had lodged an objection in a letter to TRAI earlier also, but despite this both companies are maintaining their negative publicity. Jio said that both companies want to take advantage of the farmers’ opposition. Thousands of farmers of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh are agitating against the new agricultural laws on various borders of Delhi.

Vodafone-Airtel dismissed the charge
Bharti Airtel has written these allegations in a letter to TRAI as baseless. The letter stated, ‘Some rivals can go to any extent to make baseless allegations. We have always done our business with transparency. We are proud of what we are known for. Vi’s spokesperson also dismissed the allegations, saying that the company believes in doing business with full ethics.
