Thursday marks the anniversary of the death of the late actor-politician MG Ramachandran, who is affectionately known as MGR. On this occasion the creators of ‘Thalaivi’ unveiled the new poster of Arvind Swami as MGR.
MGR, a mentor figure of Jayalalitha, floated the political party AIADMK after leaving the DMK in 1972 and seizing power in Tamil Nadu in 1977.
On the poster, Arvind Swami looks clean-shaven and resembles MGR in clothing, behavior and appearance.

It is well known that Kangana Ranaut Jayalalitha plays in the film by Vijay.
Thalaivi is funded by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh and will hit theaters in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
