India has been continuously strengthening its borders due to a deadlock with China over months of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) of eastern Ladakh. Recently, the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has constructed 22 posts along the Indo-Bhutan border. All these outposts have been built at prominent places along the border. After their construction, SSB now has several important outposts built at an altitude of 12 thousand feet above sea level.
The SSB is deployed along the Indo-Bhutan-Tibet border and the troops continue to guard the border. Due to the formation of new posts on the border, security will be done in a more intensive manner. Please tell that SSB jawans have equal importance as soldiers of the Indian Army. During the long standoff with the Chinese Army in the year 2017, SSB personnel have shown their jauhar.
After the creation of these new 22 posts, the SSB is now very close to completing its sanctioned posts. This number is a total of 734 and SSB has so far made 722 posts on the border. Only 12 remains to be built. “With the help of these new outposts along the border, SSB’s strength at the Tri-Junction border will increase more than before,” a top SSB official told news agency ANI. These 22 outposts have been built in record time and most are near the Indo-Bhutan border.

Sources further said that amidst tension on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the construction of these outposts has been done much faster than the outposts built in previous years. At the same time, the officer further said that out of the total sanctioned posts only 12 posts are yet to be constructed. These 12 posts are to be built along the Indo-Bhutan border. It will be formed where the temperature like Ladakh becomes minus zero.
Explain that SSB has not separated any of its jawans from the important border areas including Tri-Junction due to the continuing deadlock with China on LAC. SSB official said, “Amidst the ongoing tension on LAC, we have not sent any of our jawans for any law and order duty.” All the soldiers are stationed at the posts. At the same time, even if there is a shortage of staff, it will be completed immediately. Presently, SSBs deployed in these areas have 100 percent strength. ”He further stated that we are withdrawing troops from other parts and sending them to other parts of the country as per the requirement. The number of personnel deployed in major border areas will not be reduced in future also.
