Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s brother seeks early bail in case of alleged child molestation; Read details | Hindi Movie News

The youngest brother of Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Minazuddin Siddiqui, moved a special POCSO court here eight years ago to seek early bail in the event of alleged abuse of an underage girl in his family. Special Judge Sanjive Kumar Tiwari admitted Minazuddin’s plea and scheduled December 16 to hear it.

In the case filed against family members by the estranged wife of Minazuddin’s brother Nawazuddin, the Allahabad High Court suspended the arrests of the actor, his two brothers Fayazuddin and Ayazuddin, and mother Mehrunissa in early October.

However, the Supreme Court had not granted relief to the actor’s brother Minazuddin in the case.

Minajuddin’s attorney, Nadeem Zafer Zaidi, said his client asked the POCSO court for relief, as the arrest of other co-defendants in the case had already been suspended by the Supreme Court.

The case alleging harassment of a minor child by one of the actor’s three brothers in 2012 with other family members who ignored his behavior was filed on July 27th that year by the actor’s estranged wife.

The case has been registered under various sections of India’s Criminal Code and the Law to Protect Children from Sexual Offenses. Following the official registration, a judge also recorded the victim’s statement under Section 164 of the CrPC confirming the allegations in the case.
