Mahindra Thar 6 Seat Variant Removed From The Brochure Permanently Discontinued know why company take this decision

Mahindra recently launched Thar in India. This car has received strong response in India. The company has also started taking delivery with car booking. Due to heavy demand for this car, the waiting period is very high at present. Mahindra has updated all the new Thar brochures launched in the Indian market. In which there is no mention of the base spec of this car. As such, there are signs of confirmation that Mahindra may discontinue its 6-seat version. The company initially introduced Thar in three variants AX, AX (O) and LX. Mahindra has also stopped taking bookings for the car’s AX trim. The Thar 6 seater variant was available under this trim only.

The company also stopped accepting bookings for the base-spec model. According to the report, most customers opted for the top-spec LX (LX) variant. This has led to the decision to exclude the base-spec model from the line-up of SUVs. According to the report of Global NCAP, the 6-seater variant of Thar is less safe than other variants. Perhaps this is the reason that this variant is being discontinued. The base-spec variants may be permanently discontinued for the purpose of providing protection to customers. However, no official statement has come from Mahindra yet. Explain that at the time of launch, the price of base-spike was fixed at Rs 9.80 lakh.
