New Delhi, December 16 (Andhra Pradesh): An official statement has been issued on the recommendations made by the Supreme Court collegium replacing judges along with the Chief Justices of several High Courts. The collegium recommended the transfer of four chief justices of the country. Five judges were promoted to chief justice. Also … transferred five other judges from one state to another. It is learned that ‘Andhra Jyoti’ had earlier said that the collegium on Monday recommended the transfer of several judges, including the chief justices of the Telugu states. Now the same is true.

The collegium has recommended the appointment of Sikkim Chief Justice Arup Kumar Goswami to replace AP Chief Justice JK Maheshwari.
