Jio writes serious charges against Airtel and Vodafone in letter to TRAI …

Reliance Jio has written serious allegations against its rival companies by writing a letter to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Jio says that both Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea are running a campaign against Jio under the guise of the farmer movement. Jio, through a letter, demanded strict action on this from TRAI. Jio has accused both the companies of supporting the farmers’ protests by getting Jio customers to port their numbers to their network through mobile number portability (MNP). Due to which a large number of users are leaving Jio. However, both Airtel and Vi companies have denied the allegations as baseless.

In its letter to TRAI, Reliance Jio has sent some pictures of the anti-Jio campaign. Apart from this, he wrote in his letter that MNP (Mobile Number Portability) campaign is being run by Airtel and Vodafone Idea in an unethical and non-competitive manner under the guise of the ongoing peasant movement in Northern India. In the guise of this campaign, agents, employees and retailers of companies are asking Jio subscribers to support their movement to port their Jio numbers to Vodafone Idea and Airtel.

The letter was written by Geo on 10 December. However, the company says that earlier on 28 September 2020, it has also written the TRAI complaint letter in this regard, after which this publicity of these two companies is still going on.

Bharti Airtel said in its statement, “We reject these baseless allegations outright.” Whereas Vodafone Idea said “We believe in doing business with ethics and the allegations of Reliance are baseless”.
