- … This was very disappointed after being out
André Russell fired fiercely against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers on Friday. Russell scored 54 off 22 balls. Russell hit 6 sixes and 3 fours in his innings. Despite this innings, the team of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had to face defeat by 18 runs.
In fact, Russell was caught by Sam Curren in his web. Russell understood that Curren would keep the ball at the off stump according to the field. Due to which Russell decided to shoot accordingly. But Curren fell to the line of leg stump and he became bold. Russell was disappointed after being dismissed and he sat silently on the stairs of the dressing room to watch the match. Let us know that KKR had invited CSK to bat first at the Wankhede Stadium. CSK scored 220/3 runs thanks to superb innings of Faf du Plessis (95 not out) and Rituraj Gaikwad (64 runs). In response, KKR’s team was reduced to 202 runs in 19.1 overs.
At one time, KKR lost their five wickets for just 31 runs. In the end, Pat Cummins played an unbeaten 66 (from 34 balls) for KKR, which proved insufficient. Deepak Chahar took the maximum four wickets from CSK.
This is the third consecutive defeat of Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR’s next match will be with Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday. This match will be held at Wankhede Stadium only.
