Emirates will resume its four weekly flights to Mexico City via Barcelona from July 2, the Dubai-based airline said in a statement on Thursday.
The Barcelona-Mexico City route is operated by a two-class Emirates Boeing 777-200LR that offers 38 business class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration and 264 seats in economy class.
Emirates flight EK255 departs Dubai at 3:25 a.m., arrives in Barcelona at 8:35 a.m., before departing at 10:50 a.m. and arriving in Mexico City at 4:05 p.m. on the same day.
The return flight EK256 departs Mexico City at 7:40 a.m. UAE time and arrives in Barcelona at 1:45 p.m. the next day. The EK256 leaves Barcelona for Dubai at 3:30 a.m. the same day, where it arrives at 12:15 p.m. the next day.
The resumed service between Dubai-Barcelona-Mexico will serve Emirates customers in Mexico and offer travelers from Dubai, India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East via Dubai or Barcelona more choices.
The service also provides additional connectivity to global markets for Mexican exports such as avocados, berries, mangoes, auto parts and medical supplies.
Mexico is a popular destination for world travelers, especially from the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Pakistan, Singapore, Egypt and Lebanon.
