DSP commits suicide in Bengaluru, four detained | Bengaluru News

BENGALURU: A. deputy superintendent of the police (DSP) in the Criminal Police (CID) Laxmi allegedly died of suicide at her friend’s house in Annapoorneshwari Nagar Police Station boundaries in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening, police said.
“The police have arrested your four friends and the investigation is ongoing,” the police said.
Laxmi reportedly married eight years ago. “The victim’s friends have stated that she was depressed and had previously tried to die by suicide. Last night at a party at her friend’s house where she committed suicide,” Annapoorneshwari Nagar police said.
Karnataka Interior Minister Basavaraj Bommai said the case will be thoroughly investigated, including its background, and that we will get to the bottom of the mistakes.
“I have instructed senior officials to investigate the case. We have programs to help and support them with personal problems. We have taken confidence-building measures for the police. We will do this on a larger scale soon,” the Interior Minister said in Haveri on Thursday.
