A dramatic video of a 13-foot crocodile dragging a young cheetah while ambushing a waterhole in South Africa has surfaced online. The incredible footage was shot by 30-year-old WildEarth safari guide Busani Mtshali from KwaZulu-Natal Province while on tour in & Beyond Phinda Private Game Reserve in South Africa.
The video shows a thirsty cheetah cub venturing to the edge of the water for a drink without realizing that a crocodile is hiding just below the waterline. When the cheetah starts drinking water, the crocodile comes out to attack.
The hungry reptile grabs the cheetah between the jaws as it tries to flee. However, the crocodile manages to pull the young animal to its death.

“It’s so painful. It’s more painful than the word. There’s really nothing we can do because the crocodile was attacking the cheetahs when the young cheetah cub went down to drink water,” says Busani in the video.
The video has garnered more than 11 million views on YouTube. Internet users went to the comment section to share their thoughts on the video. Check how they responded:
One user said, “The worst thing is that in just a few seconds after the strike, the water became so calm.” Another wrote: “This silence was that the other cheetahs mourned the loss of their friend.”
A third user commented: “Cheetah:” I am speed “. Crocodile:” Shut my teeth “.” Yet another remarked, “This is how cheetahs make deer, this is how the food chain works.”
