Suryapet: Suryapeta Zilla Parishad ruling party has stated that the Central government has brought in anti-farmer laws that break the farmers’ interest. Members of the ruling party unanimously decided to immediately repeal the black laws that deprive farmers of their freedom. Tungaturti MLA Gadri Kishore Kumar addressed an all-party meeting on Monday chaired by JD (U) chairperson Gujja Deepikayugendhar Rao. He said the central government was keeping farmers away from agriculture with three laws and demanded their immediate repeal. After that, the members unanimously approved the resolution introduced by Jadpi Vice Chairman Gopagani Venkatanarayana to repeal the laws. Later, MLA Kishore Kumar said that the state government would also provide Raitubandhu to Yasangi. He said Rs 333.98 crore would soon be credited to 2,24,498 farmers in the district. Yasangi farmers can plant the grain of their choice. The government has allocated Rs. 120 crore has been released and 20 check dams will be constructed with these funds. Collector Vinay Krishnareddy said the Bhagiratha works would be completed by February 29. Zadpi chairperson Gujja Deepikayugandharrao said the authorities should work in coordination to ensure that government schemes reach the people. Mission Bhagiratha then briefed on water. The meeting was attended by Additional Collector Padmajarani, ZDP Vice Chairman Gopagani Venkatanarayana, ZDP CEO Vijayalakshmi, district officers of various departments, ZDPTCs and MPs.
