The stock market closed on record level on Wednesday due to all-round buying. The Sensex has gained 403.29 points to end at 46,666.46 and the Nifty has gained 114.85 points to close at 13,682.70. This is the highest level of both indices in terms of closing. Today, the Sensex index rose to a new record as stocks of HDFC, HDFC Bank, TCS, Infosys and Bharti Airtel rose sharply.
However, the Sensex touched a level of 46,704.97 and the Nifty 13,692.35 during trading. This is the alltime high level of both indexes. Today, metal and realty shares were more involved in the market boom. The Nifty Realty index closed up 5% and the metal index closed up 1.79%. Apart from this, auto and pharma stocks also recorded good gains. Due to the excellent growth in the market, the total market cap of listed companies in BSE has also crossed Rs 185.13 lakh crore for the first time.
Today, Burger King shares in the BSE opened as soon as the upper circuit opened and finally the stock has closed at close to Rs 200. Apart from this, Jet Airways stock has also closed at Rs 101 after the upper circuit. Punjab National Bank’s stock has lost 6.54% to close at Rs 37.90. Actually, the bank has fixed a floor price of Rs 37.35 for a QIP of seven thousand crores. Its effect was also on the bank’s shares today. IRCTC shares have closed down 1.15% at Rs 1424 in the BSE. It has slipped 11% in the past week. The stock closed down 2.70% at Rs 1,439 on December 9.
Hindalco and Bharti Airtel gained 2-2% in the Nifty. HDFC and Divis Lab shares also gained 2–2%. At the same time, ICICI Bank shares and IndusInd Bank shares closed down 1-1%. Apart from this, shares of UltraTech Cement, GAIL and NTPC also closed down. The Sensex opened 310.14 points up at 46,573.31 and the Nifty opened 95.25 points higher at 13,663.10 in the morning.

Asian markets boom
The impact of the boom in US markets is also seen in Asian markets today. In this, Hong Kong’s Hangseng Index gained 254 points to close at 26,461. Japan’s Nikkei index closed up 69 points at 26,757. At the same time, the Shanghai Composite Index of China, which is trading steadily throughout the day, finally closed flat at 3,366.
The market remained sluggish on Tuesday
The Sensex was up 9.71 points at 46,263.17 and the Nifty closed up 9.70 points at 13,567.85 yesterday. Apart from this, Nifty Auto and Metal indices also closed with gains. The top gainer financial stocks of the Nifty index were on Tuesday. Bajaj Finance shares closed up 5% in the Nifty index. Bajaj Finserv shares also gained 4%. On the other hand, shares of Nestle India and HUL were down more than 2-2% due to the fall in the FMCG sector.
European markets boom
There was a shopping in the European market yesterday. Germany’s DAX index also closed at 13,362, up 139 points. However, France’s CAC index flat closed at 5,530. But Britain’s FTSE index was down 18 points at 6,513.
US market boom
Kovid-19 relief package in US may be announced soon. Yesterday, US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that an agreement would be reached soon as soon as it is agreed. This led to a spurt in US markets on Tuesday. The Dow Jones index was up 337 points at 30,199, up 1.13%. The S&P 500 index also closed up 47 points at 3,694. In addition, the Nasdaq index also gained 155 points to close at 12,595.
