Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday received a vaccine to protect against corona virus infection. The program was broadcast live on television. Netanyahu is the first person in his country to have been given the Corona anti-virus vaccine. With this, he has joined the select leaders of the world who have got this vaccine.
Pfizer vaccine given to Israeli PM and Health Minister
He said that he wanted to get the first vaccine to set an example for himself and also wanted to inspire people through it. Along with Netanyahu, Israeli Health Minister Yuli Edelstein was also given a dose of the Corona vaccine. The vaccination program has been officially launched in Israel after the Pfizer-BioNtech vaccine was given to these two leaders.
Netanyahu hopes to have normalcy soon
After vaccination, Netanyahu said, “I hope the situation in Israel will soon return to normal.” Describing it as the time ahead, he said that by connecting businesses, work will start soon and people will be able to live as before.
Health workers will be given the first dose
The Israeli Ministry of Health said that from Sunday, front line workers across Israel will be given corona vaccine doses at 10 hospitals and vaccination centers. After this, the Vaccines program will be launched for the general public. In the first phase, the elderly over 60 years will be given a vaccine dose on the basis of priority.
The general public will be vaccinated in Israel from December 27
