Karnataka is now the second state after Maharashtra to impose a night lock for fear of a new Covid strain from Great Britain. Speaking on Wednesday’s announcement, Prime Minister BS Yediyurappa said the curfew will go into effect on December 24th and will come into effect on January 2nd. The curfew will be from 11pm to 5pm.
The announcement of the nightly curfew came after the CM held detailed discussions with members of the technical advisory board on Wednesday morning. “In light of the new strain of coronavirus, there is a nine-day night curfew until January 2,” Yediyurappa told reporters.
