Elon Musk’s Tesla is the world’s most valuable automaker today – but industrialist Anand Mahindra has found one desi Vehicle that could give the American electric car company a run for its money. Tesla’s innovative electric cars have been recognized for being more environmentally friendly than vehicles that run on gasoline. One of the greatest advantages of an electric car is the lack of harmful exhaust emissions. On the other hand, Tesla cars are relatively expensive to buy.
Well this here desi Alternative is inexpensive and powered by renewable energy – although emissions can be a problem here.
On Wednesday evening, Anand Mahindra tweeted a clip of the “car” in question. “I don’t think @elonmusk & Tesla can match the low cost of this renewable energy car,” he wrote while sharing the video showing a fancy ox cart that resembles a car.
Footage tweeted by Mr. Mahindra shows the body of a car being pulled by cattle. The Mahindra Group chairman admitted that Tesla may still have the upper hand on harmful emissions. “However, I’m not sure what the emissions are considering methane …” he wrote.

The video was microblogged over 2.9 lakh times, where it also garnered over 23,000 “likes” and hundreds of amused reactions.
