Air India announces 50% concession for seniors

The national airline Air India has announced a special system for seniors that offers a 50% discount on the base price. The system only applies to domestic flights and passengers over 60 can only use the program.

According to Air India’s official website, the national airline has set a criterion according to which only the matching people are allowed to take advantage of the offer.

The offer clearly states that a senior of Indian nationality who is a permanent resident of India and should have reached the age of 60 at the time of departure.

According to the official text of the Air India offer, a 50% discount is available on the “Basic price for selected booking classes in the economy cabin”.

Tickets must be purchased three days prior to travel and the offer is valid for one year.

At the time of booking, a valid photo ID with date of birth, e.g. B. Voter ID, passport, driver’s license, Air India senior ID card, etc., must be presented in order to be able to use the offer when booking the ticket.

If the appropriate ID or documents are not presented at the time of check-in or at the boarding gate, the base price will be forfeited and the tickets will not be refunded. Only taxes and duties are refunded according to Air India’s website.

Boarding will be denied if proof of identity is not presented at the time of check-in and at the boarding gate.

These concessions apply to Air India operated flights and Alliance Air codeshare flights. These concessions do not apply to Regional Connectivity Alliance air codeshare flights and domestic AirIndia Express codeshare flights.
