
Gurpreet Ghuggi’s speech goes viral on social media.
A video by actor-comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi criticizing those who criticized the distribution of pizzas at the site of the farmers’ protest near the border with Delhi is widely spread on social media.
Earlier this month, hundreds of pizzas were distributed among protesters in Singhu, on the Delhi-Haryana border. The Singhu border has become the scene of protests against the government’s controversial agricultural laws. The initiative, called “Pizza Langar“invited a backlash from some who claimed the protest had been hijacked.
In his speech the Singh is Kinng The actor urged critics to ponder the ingredients that make a pizza.
“The crust in a pizza is made from flour that comes from farmers,” he says in Punjabi. “The cheese above comes from farmers – from their cow’s milk.”

The video is getting widespread on social media. It was viewed over 3.7 lakh times on Twitter.
In the comments section, some tweeted in support of the actor while others disagreed with his arguments.
Gurpreet Ghuggi’s speech echoes a statement from one of the organizers of ‘Pizza’ langar‘.
“The farmers who made the dough for pizzas can also afford to have one themselves,” said Shanbir Singh Sandhu, who organized the festival with his four friends, quoted by the PTI news agency.
According to the ANI news agency, Mr. Ghuggi met protesting farmers in Singhu last weekend and said: “This fight is from the”Zameerdar” (one with a conscience).

Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh also tweeted in support of the farmers after the Pizza Langar caused criticism.
