2021 Ford EcoSport is expected to hit the market in February. Here we have a rendering of the redesigned compact SUV

We exclusively announced a few days ago that Ford was preparing a revised version of the EcoSport for debut in February 2021. Additionally, the leaked image of a brand new Ford SUV wasn’t of the upcoming C-segment SUV, internally codenamed the CX757, and so was the cosmetically updated EcoSport. Based on the picture, here is a rendering of the 2021 Ford EcoSport.

The compact SUV is one of the forerunners in the segments and thus benefited from a kind of monopoly until the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza entered the battle. Despite only minor external updates and functional revisions, the EcoSport remains the best-selling model for the American auto major. However, the volume numbers have certainly decreased.

This was mainly due to the arrival of advanced competitors, although under four meters SUV space has been the most sought-after and competitive in recent years. We believe that the newly designed front paneling gives the five-seater, which also plays a major role on an international level – especially in emerging markets – a convincing and refreshing atmosphere.

The digital imagination shows the presence of a new black chrome, decorated in chrome with the blue-oval badge in the center. The triple-stacked LED daytime running lights create an interesting movement and definitely enhance the facade.

The bumper section has become much busier as the vertical housing has additional lighting elements, while the underbody protection panel and wider central air intake add character. As with rendering, we don’t expect any significant changes to the side profile, but the rear is more likely to get new taillights and bumpers.

Additionally, in addition to adding new features, we can expect the interior to see notable updates. The 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine used in the Mahindra XUV300, which develops a maximum output of 110 hp at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 20 Nm at 2,000 rpm, could be used for performance. It could be paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
