2020 Mahindra Thar discovered in a new silver color!

There’s no other way to say this: the Mahindra 2020 Thar is a hit in the Indian market and exceeded all of our expectations. It impressed enthusiasts, journalists and even other people who have now decided to buy the new SUV. Mahindra’s extensive hard work making the 2020 Thar more riders every day has finally paid off. Mahindra has received more than 20,000 bookings for the Thar, which means that the new SUV is fully booked through May 2021. Surprisingly, a new spy recording of the 2020 Thar recently surfaced on the internet. Here we can see that it is in a new silver color that is not yet available through Mahindra.

The spied SUV here has camouflage on the doors, but we can clearly see that the Thar is silver in color and has steel wheels that are better suited for off-road use. This could mean that Mahindra is still rolling out some color options, or at least the manufacturer is bringing out a silver color for the 2020 Thar. The photos of the SUV were posted on Facebook by Sarath Santham.

Mahindra is working consistently to solve the problem with long waiting times. This problem was raised because Mahindra did not expect such an overwhelming response for the Thar. They are already working hard and claim to have increased production capacity by 50 percent. Such high demand shows that there are still people who are an off-road enthusiast looking for a proper 4 × 4 SUV that can also meet their family’s needs by being their only daily driver. The SUV was recently crash tested by Global NCAP. It could get a 4-star rating for adult and child safety. This adds up to an overall 4-star rating of 5 for the Thar 2020. Mahindra will discontinue the 6-seater version of the Thar with side-facing seats as these are not as safe as the forward-facing rear seats. You can read more about it by clicking here. For this reason, Mahindra is no longer accepting bookings for the AX variant, which is offered with the 6-seater option.

The Mahindra 2020 Thar is powered by a gasoline and a diesel engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. This is one of the reasons for the great success of the 2020 Thar. In the past, Thar was only offered with a diesel engine combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. However, now there is a new gasoline engine that was unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. It is also offered with an automatic transmission, which has attracted many new customers to Mahindra. The new 2.0-liter petrol engine mStallion has a maximum output of 150 hp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. The 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine has a maximum output of 130 hp and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. Both engines are offered with 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. Mahindra 2020 Thar starts from Rs. 9.80 lakhs ex showroom and goes up to Rs. 13.75 lakhs ex showroom.
